Founder & C.E.O of the Zimbabwe Industrial Hemp Trust (ZIHT). Dr. Maroveke is the most daring, tenacious and influential woman in the Cannabis space in Zimbabwe since 2015.
She holds her first degree in Dental Surgery and a diploma in Stomatology from the prestigious Shanghai JiaoTong University School of Medicine in the Peoples Republic of China. She is a self-taught and continually researched Hemp advocate. She provoked the powers that be to consider Cannabis legalization, through a concept note about Industrial Hemp in 2016. The ZIHT was created in 2017 and has been the major driving force behind the legal inclusion of this non-narcotic fiber crop ”Industrial Hemp” in Zimbabwe.
She will be pioneering Industrial Hemp Trials in Zimbabwe.
Dr. Maroveke conceptualized the establishment of a Cannabis Association and is currently working with other players in the Cannabis space to see this to fruition.
